  • I have been designing several cast bullet molds for the 50GI. They range in weight from 255gr to 500gr (the 500gr are for the DI 50GI AR15 I run suppressed and so not work in the handguns) here are a couple that I hope to start load development on. The molds were cut by Tom at Accurate molds, I have loaded a few for function testing ans all ran fine in my Glock conversions. The first two are what I would class as upper weight for the handguns. The first one is accurate molds # 50-369D, as cast with my wheelweights/ tin lead weigh 365gr after being HI-Tek coated. The second is the same mold that I sent to Erik at hollow point molds and he converted to HP and did a great job. These were cast out of the same ww/tin lead so I do not expect this batch to expand but I think when I cast them out of pure lead they should expand (325gr).

The next bullets are accurate molds # 50-350V (360gr)

50-400V (405gr) with my lead and HI-Tek coated.
I also have a lighter mold accurate molds #255V but I do not have any cast yet but hope to get some done in the next couple of weeks.
I will post updates as soon as I get a chance to complete loading and testing.

  • These would certainly be a good alternative to the standard 50GI bullets and could help reduce the cost of range time.

Can't wait to see the results.

  • I thought at one time I saw a listing on the GI site offering lead bullets styled after the H&G #68 but can't remember the weight. When I went back to buy some I couldn't find them again...was I just imagining this???
